1936 Arcade, No.2610 Cast Iron Chevrolet Stake Truck
Al Aune's classic book, "Arcade Toys" states that this No.2610 Chevrolet Stake Truck was not listed in any Arcade catalog. In fact I had difficulty finding a reference for it. Al's was the only one I could find. I've never seen it before. The truck is two separate pieces; red body and green chassis. The front radiator, headlights, and bumper are a single piece of nickel plated cast iron. Tires are solid, natural white rubber with red painted wooden hubs. The underside interior of the body is stamped on the right "261R Arcade" and left "261L Made in U.S.A.". The underside of the chassis is stamped "261". And the underside of the radiator is stamped "S" and "X". Size: 4". Sold: Mar. 2016
